1. Overview

At Nest Psychology, we value transparency, fairness, and mutual respect. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds or cancellations may be issued for psychological therapy services.

2. Session Booking & Payment

• All therapy sessions (including the Nest Planning Session) must be booked in advance and confirmed in writing.

• Payment is required in full prior to the session unless otherwise agreed.

• Sessions may be paid via secure online methods or direct bank transfer.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that life can be unpredictable. However, to protect the integrity of the service and allow other families access to appointments, the following applies:

• Cancellations made with 48 hours’ notice or more will not be charged, and payment can either be refunded in full or credited toward a future session.

• Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

• Missed appointments without notice (no-shows) will also be charged in full.

• Exceptions may be made for medical emergencies or other serious, unavoidable circumstances. These will be considered at the discretion of the therapist.

4. Refunds

You may be eligible for a refund if:

• You have paid in advance and cancelled your session with more than 48 hours’ notice

• You cancel a prepaid block of sessions before it begins (minus any sessions already used or preparation time invested)

Refunds are typically processed within 7–10 business days via the original payment method.

Refunds will not be issued for:

• Sessions attended

• Late cancellations (less than 48 hours’ notice)

• Digital products or downloadable resources (e.g., PDF guides), unless faulty

5. Therapist-Initiated Cancellations

If Nest Psychology needs to cancel or reschedule a session for any reason (e.g., illness or emergency), you will be given as much notice as possible. In such cases, you will be offered:

• A full refund, or

• The option to reschedule the session at a mutually convenient time

6. Discontinuing Therapy

If you decide to end therapy, please inform us in writing. No further payments will be due. Refunds for prepaid sessions not yet used will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
